999 Emergency Service
Emergency service provides
24-hour rapid access to expert Oracle DBA, UNIX and
system trouble-shooting skills for organisations
within the M25.
Every call will be
returned by a consultant who will, if necessary,
establish a secure remote connection within the
specified response times:
- Within business hours
- 1 hour from call to response and remote
connection,
- Beyond business hours
- 3 hours from call to response and remote
connection.
If the call requires a
site visit, the consultant will be at the site
within the on-site response times:
- Within business hours
- 3 hours from call to be present
on-site,
- Beyond business hours
- 6 hours from call to be present
on-site.
Outside the rapid service
area, we would be happy to quote for remote call
service only. Contact

can reduce your operating costs and increase your
system's availability.
Stand-in
Stand-in cover provides a
cost-effective on-site or off-site cover for staff
absence.
Scheduled Stand-in cover
will provide a qualified and experienced Oracle DBA
specialising in UNIX installations at your site
during staff holidays or periods of leave or
transition. If on-site cover is not required, you
may notify us of an increased likelihood of an
emergency call and a consultant be available to be
on-site within one hour.
Short notice cover can be
provided either at an enhanced rate or under the
terms of Emergency service.

Monitoring
The best time to spot a
problem in your Oracle database is before it causes
problems. Carib Data Limited offer constant remote
monitoring of your database server to increase
reliability and relieve onsite staff from the
tedium.
Carib Data Limited does
not use off-the-shelf monitoring tools. Ours have
been written in-house and are the least obtrusive,
lowest overhead and most reliable monitoring tools
of which we are aware.
Using a secure dial-out
facility a qualified and experienced consultant can
review and analyse the performance monitoring data
generated by your Oracle database daily ensuring
greater reliability and performance.
Alarm conditions within
your system can made to page a consultant with the
nature of the problem allowing rapid assessment and
action with a minimum of disruption to your
business.
Monthly Check-up
Your Oracle database
system and UNIX operating system will be reviewed
monthly to assess long-term loading and performance
data to assure continued maximum reliability. The
report that you will receive in return will allow
you to more accurately plan for future changes in
your organisations data processing needs.
Patch
Service
We will review all tech
notes, release notes and patch notices for your
UNIX operating system and your version of Oracle,
including any options and applications, to ensure
that any notices relevant to your installation come
to your attention as soon as possible. Patches or
fixes will be downloaded and made available on a
convenient tape or CD format to facilitate
installation.
You will also receive a
monthly report of relevant tech notes, release
notes, de-support notices (shiver) and patch notes
to help maintain you documentation.
